SIster Act Challenge #9

Somebunny Special - Wings and Willows Etsy shop
Wings and Willows is the company sponsoring this week's anything goes challenge over at the Sister Act Challenge Blog.  Rebecca Parker is the talented artist behind the digital stamps at this Etsy shop.

Even though I don't usually color animals, I had fun with this sweet bunny using my Copics. I added a bit of pink glitter glue to the center of each flower and a little jewel I picked up at Michael's.   The felt flower is from my Stampin' Up! stash.  They have been retired for a while, but I remember needing them and fearing they would be gone in weeks!  The sentiment is from a PTI set.  Recognize it from my Dennis St. James card?!?

This sweet bunny is featured in the following challenges this week:

Make it Monday
Use It Tuesday - "anything goes" (the paper and the felt flowers are from my stash)
Color Throwdown
Simon Says Stamp "anything goes"

A Little Stretch

Paper Doll - MFT
Today's card is one that is a bit outside of my comfort zone and challenged me in a whole different way.  It's inspired by images that are black and white photos and then a little color is added.

The girl is an MFT stamp.  I colored her with Copics to look like a black and white photo.  I then pieced her dress and colored it very light pink and pieced the angel wings by using a butterfly stamp  - (keeping it looking black and white).  My Ranger inks came in handy to create the pink background.  I brought out my paper doll die to add the string of paper dolls in her hands.  The overall card kind of has an "arty" feel to it.  The sentiment and butterfly are from Stampin' Up!.

My card in going in these challenges:
Friday Mash Up - I stretched this challenge a bit  and the card itself isn't as neutral, but the girl herself captured the challenge (neutral with a splash of color).

Crazy 4 Challenges C4C187 - no patterned paper

Avenue 613 - Anything goes  (My Euro Clown card was a "Top 3" in their last challenge!)

Sister Act Card Challenge #8

It's hard to believe this is the end of the second month of Sister Act Card Challenges already!  This week's sponsor is a generous artist from Seal Beach, CA named Rick St. Dennis. The DT was able to choose any image from his Etsy site. I had fun working with his Euro Clown.  I decided to go colorful and ended up "fussy" cutting the clown to make it fit in the frame of the patterned paper I had.  Using my Copics was the perfect way to de-stress after a long couple of days at work!  Hope you stop by the blogs of the other DT gals, and that you will play along with our anything goes challenge.

My card is going into these challenges:

Use It Tuesday The kraft colored papers have been sitting in a stack on my pile since I bought them more than a year ago.  Some of the rhinestones are recycled from old projects.

I turned sketch #259 from Sketch Saturday on its side for my card.

Cute Card Thursday's theme this week is "Tie It Up".

Sister Act Card Challenge #7

DC Just My Type & die - MFT
Welcome back to the seventh week at the Sister Act Card Challenge.  I hope you will play along with the many folks who enter our challenge each week.  This week the sponsor is Louby Loo's Digital Delights.  We aren't using a sponsor image this week, so I went into my stash and used a fun matching stamp and die set from MFT called DC Just My Type.  The paper doll die cut behind the typewriter is from MFT as well.  The papers are old ones from Stampin' Up!  No Copic coloring for this card - just a little brown around the edges to give it an aged look.  Check out the cards from the other DT members.

This card is also part of:
The Use It Tuesday Challenge #55 (lots of old papers - I even cut into a full sheet of 12x12 houndstooth for this!)

The Hiding In My Craft Room challenge to use scraps - the red from the paper dolls, and the notebook looking paper are from my scrap drawer. The black bow was a scrap (unused from another card) as well.

Sister Act Card Challenge #6

Add caption
The Doodle Pantry is this week's Sister Act Card Challenge sponsor.  They had some sentiments available for the DT to use, so I decided to use this one as a feature panel with some patterned paper that had musical notes on it.  I stamped the background with a Papertrey stamp and used an oval doily die for the sentiment.  A ribbon and little pearl button topped off the card.  Check out the other DT member's cards.

Sister Act Card Challenge #5

Waiting for My Prince digi image - The Paper Nest

The Paper Nest is sponsoring the Sister Act Design Team Challenge this week.  I used their cute images called Waiting for My Prince. It's not easy to see in the photo, but I used loads of Stickles to add sparkle to her skirt, shoes, the peace sign, the frog, both crowns - and a pink rhinestone in the center of the crown on her head.  Stop by the other DT to see what they created this week.

Copics used:
hair - E 31, 33, 35, 37, 49
crown - Y00, 11, 15
skin - E000, 00, 11 and R20
shoes and shirt - RV00, 32, 35
frog - YG00, 03, 06
