Sketch Saturday - Sketch #380

Happy Saturday, Sketchers!
Debra has a fun sketch for you to play with this week.  The challenge prize is 7 digis from our wonderful sponsor, Bugaboo Stamps.

I've used Bugaboo's, Sock Monkey-Birthday for my card.  Originally, I had every intention of using this image for a birthday card, but a colleague recently had a baby girl and I decided this little monkey would be an adorable card for her.  They aren't using traditional colors in their nursery and have decorated it with lots of oranges and yellows.  I love figuring out ways to use images in new ways!

Take a peek at our DT cards and then play along with us!  Can't wait to see your card in the gallery!

A Day for Daisies Challenge #131 - Mucha Love

We have a photo inspiration for our new ADFD challenge - Mucha Love.  I used the Mucha Style Wild Poppy and some elements of the photo in my card.  I utilized the deep purple, the gold, the swirl shapes, and laciness of the cake frosting.  Give your creativity a jump start and join our two week challenge at the ADFD Blog.

Sketch Saturday - Sketch #379

Welcome back for a new sketch this week.  I love sketch challenges and Alex's sketch tested my creativity - along with making choices about papers I would use!  The circle frame and background circles are embedded into the white background paper.  The image and sentiment are from a Unity Stamp set my friend Marilyn sent me.

I hope you will come along and play with this Sketch Saturday challenge.  Bunny Zoe Crafts is our sponsor.  I'm looking forward to seeing your take on the sketch!

A Day for Daisies Showcase - Mucha Style Flowers

This week we are featuring September's Mucha Style Flower Collection at A Day for Daisies.  This is Mucha Style Bachelor Button 1.  It's hard to tell from the photo, but I fussy cut the bottom flower and popped it out to give it some dimension.

I love the colors these flowers come in.  Coloring this one allowed me to take a walk down memory lane from when I was younger.  My grandma grew these in her garden.

Stop by the ADFD Blog over the next two weeks to see the variety of flowers and how the DT used them.  Some of these flowers would be perfect for the Frame It! challenge.  There's still time to play!

A Day for Daisies - September Release

Tammy has some new, beautiful ADFD images for the September release.  There were so many pretties, it was hard to choose which one to feature!  Mine is called Fairy Flower Bouquet Portrait.  I used the new sketch at Case This Sketch for my card design.  Its simplicity was perfect as a way to showcase the gorgeous image. The sentiment is from the August PTI release.

Check out the rest of the DT inspiration on the ADFD Blog, and then head over to the ADFD shop and choose one for yourself!
